Our Rental Conditions for Standup Paddle Boards

§1 Rental item
The landlord runs a rental of stand up paddle boards and, if available, provides the renter with a paddle board including paddle and life jacket at the conditions specified in the price list. The use of the SUP boards and accessories is at your own risk, rental is only possible upon presentation of a valid identity card. In the case of minors, the rental contract must be signed personally on site by a legal guardian.

§2 Use
The lessee confirms the accuracy of the personal data provided. In principle, only the lessee is entitled to use the rental objects. If the renter nevertheless hands over the paddle board to a third party, he is liable for all damage caused by third parties. The paddle board may only be used in the designated sections of water. After the agreed period of use has expired, the lessee undertakes to return all rental items to the place of issue.

§3 Prices
Use is at the agreed prices. If the paddle board is returned early, there will be no pro rata reduction in the rental price. The rental period can only be extended after consultation with the landlord. If the paddle board is not returned by the end of the agreed time at the latest, the lessee must pay the lessor the price for each commenced hour.

§4 Liability of the tenant
The use of the paddle board is at your own risk. The liability of the renter begins with the takeover of the paddle board and only ends with the return of the rented items in the sense of point 2. With the takeover of the paddle board, the renter recognizes the perfect condition of this and any additionally rented items. Any complaints must be noted in advance in writing in the rental agreement. The renter is particularly liable for negligent and willful damage and for damage resulting from a violation of the rental conditions.

§5 Theft/Loss
The lessee undertakes to secure and guard the rental items for the agreed rental period. In the event of theft, loss or damage to the rented items, the renter is liable up to the amount of the respective replacement value.

§6 notice of defects
The renter undertakes to report all defects occurring during the rental period to the landlord immediately upon return of the paddle board. In the event of theft, the renter undertakes to notify the responsible police station immediately.

§7 Dangers of Stand Up Paddling
The lessee will be informed in advance by the lessor about all possible dangers on the respective body of water. In particular, this includes dealing with shipping traffic, waves, currents and wind susceptibility of the paddleboard.
